Tetra Engineering to Participate in 2025 NAES Plant Manager Conference

Tetra Engineering is pleased to announce our participation in the upcoming 2025 NAES Plant Manager Conference Vendor Program, taking place on Tuesday, 9 September at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle Southport.

As part of the vendor exhibition, our team will be available at Table T-16 to share insights into our engineering services and discuss solutions for plant reliability and performance.

We are also proud to highlight a technical presentation scheduled for 4:25 PM in the Grand 2 room:

Engineering Assessment & Corrective Actions for Inservice Failure of HRH Steam Pipe SupportPresented by Barrie Mollitor, Senior Consultant in Pressure Integrity Engineering at Tetra Engineering, in collaboration with Chris Juszkiewicz of Newark Energy Center.

This session will explore the engineering evaluation of a high-reliability piping support failure, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons learned for future mitigation.

We look forward to engaging with industry professionals and contributing to the dialogue on best practices in plant operations and asset integrity.

Why Certification Does Not Always Equal Quality? A Case Study

HRSGs and power boilers are built by assembling large numbers of components, mostly by welding. Design choices in optimizing heat transfer against overall cost lead to configurations that aim to minimize the number of welds per square meter of heat transfer surface. In addition, fabrication of the modules is frequently subcontracted by the OEM for manufacture in regions where manpower is cheaper. The OEM becomes in effect an integrator of components built by others. How can Product Quality for pressure parts be assured in that context?
