Remote/Offsite Inspection Support

Tetra can provide remote support using real-time or near real-time interaction with client staff at the site.  The typical process is as follows:

1. Preparation for Inspection

  • Collect essential information on item/unit to be inspected
  • Review of information
  • Prepare detailed inspection plan & timeline
  • Client review of plan and approval

2. Trial Inspection

  • Evaluate quality of communications link (live feed if available)
  • Trial Run Report According to Pre-Agreed Format

3. Perform Inspection According to Plan

  • Tetra inspector assists/guides remotely

4. Inspection Report

  • The report presents the results and conclusions of the  inspection according to the agreed format. The report will document NDT, selected digital photographs and reference material used in the work. It will also present any recommendations for plant management based on the observations.

Boiler & HRSG Offline Inspections

Boiler & HRSG Offline Inspections

The offline (or cold) inspection is an essential O&M activity at any thermal power or process plant. For steam generating equipment, whether it's a small industrial package boiler or a large utility-scale supercritical coal boiler, this is especially critical since only during a shutdown can the condition of all internal components be assessed in detail.
