The CARDS knowledge management system can be used to link plant drawings to issue pages. These drawings can also be opened via the indices. For an introduction to CARDS, follow this link.

The drawing viewer has 3 main areas / functions:

1. It shows details about the drawing, including its title, classification, drawing numbers (plant, contractor, sub-contractor), vendor, revision, and file size. These can be varied depending on the client's requirements.
2. The drawing can be downloaded and viewed in the user's usual software. This may be useful when the user wants to send the information to a contractor or for printing purposes.
3. The viewer has a thumbnail, zoom setting and zoomed view to allow the user to easily find the detail of interest on the drawing.

Note that standard images (such as jpg) can also be opened in the viewer, allowing the user to zoom in to detail.

The drawing viewer is useful as it uses MS Internet Explorer - no other software is necessary.
